Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO with active participation of SKOLKOVO Institute for Emerging Market Studies (IEMS) served as an intellectual partner for the business program of the XVII Russian Agricultural Exhibition "Golden Autumn-2015" which took place on October 8-10, 2015 in the exhibition center "Crocus Expo" in Moscow. The organizer is Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation.
“Golden Autumn” is the main agricultural forum of the country which involved 2.5 thousand companies from more than 60 Russian regions and more than 20 countries. The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, the Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev, the representatives of departments and the heads of regions took part in the official opening ceremony. The Dean of SKOLKOVO Andrey Sharonov chaired the plenary session – Agro Business Forum “Mutually Beneficial Trade and Investment - a Guarantee of BRICS Steady Development". Among the participants of the Agro Business Forum were – ministers and prime-ministers of agriculture of Brazil and China, and top representatives of IFAD, EMBRAPA, FAO, OLAM, Glencore and Rusagro.
IEMS organized and co-organized five expert sessions on the following topics: “Vegetables market perspectives: global practice and local experience”, “Global trends and new agenda on agricultural education strategy”, “National network of the wholesale distribution centers”, “Agrifood cluster new drivers for growth”, “Efficient supply chains – new configurations producers-consumers”. Alexey Kalinin, IEMS Director, chaired the session represented by global companies – Unilever, Bonduelle and McDonald’s, San Telmo International Institute, Ministry of agriculture of Moscow region, and industry experts. Vladimir Korovkin, Head of research of Innovation and Digital studies, co-chaired the session on global agricultural trends and innovations development and their role in developing educational strategy in agriculture.
