Alexey joined SKOLKOVO in 2013. He oversees research initiatives in geoeconomics, global strategies, sustainable development, digital and innovation. His previous experience includes running consulting practice at the Institute for Complex Strategic Studies for four years in parallel with teaching strategy in Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School. Alexey also has over 15 years of industrial experience in strategy and international business in energy, engineering, and ICT sectors. Alexey holds Oxford Diploma in Global Business, MBA, Executive Master in Energy from BI Norwegian Business School, and Engineering Degree.

He holds a Master Degree in Philosophy from St. Petersburg State University and a Diploma in Innovations Project Management from the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Ekaterina has been working for SKOLKOVO since 2009. Her current research interests are in international strategies of mid-size companies with focus on practices from both emerging and developed economies. Previously Ekaterina carried out applied research in the area of human capital and higher education. Prior to joining SKOLKOVO, Ekaterina worked for several years as a management consultant for Monitor Group in London, where she was involved in development of corporate and marketing strategies for clients in a number of different industries in Europe and CIS. Ekaterina holds a BSc in International Business (cum laude) and an MSc in Marketing Management (cum laude) from Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University. Ekaterina speaks English and Dutch.

Gaukhar joined SKOLKOVO in 2016. Her research interests include the socio-economic development and political transformation of the countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Before joining the SKOLKOVO, Gaukhar worked at the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as in government and private sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Gaukhar holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, USA, MBA from the Moscow State University, and Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University.

Vladimir also has over 20 years of business experience in retail finance, advertisement, and IT consulting. Vladimir holds a degree in Engineering from Moscow State Technical University and a Diploma in International Business from the All-Russia Academy for Foreign Trade. Vladimir is currently a DBA Candidate at International School of Management Paris. Vladimir speaks English, Spanish, French, Turkish, and Swahili.

Lydia has extensive business experience working in various advisory roles in the emerging economies, including those with SUN Group in New Delhi, WPP Group and the Business Council for Cooperation with Malaysia in Moscow and Kuala-Lumpur. Her background is in regional studies and diplomacy. Lydia graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) where she also completed her PhD, and holds MBA Degree from Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Lydia speaks English and Hindi.

Hartwell is Professor of Financial Systems Resilience at Bournemouth University, Professor of International Management at Kozminski University in Poland, Visiting Professor at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), and Fellow and former President of the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) in Warsaw. A leading scholar on the evolution of economic institutions. Dr. Hartwell’s interests are in institutional development, especially the interplay between financial institutions and other political and economic institutions and how firms deal with institutional volatility. Over his career, Professor Hartwell has advised governments in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Russia, Poland, Tonga, Kosovo, and numerous other countries around the world, and has published in journals such as Global Strategy Journal, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Explorations in Economic History, Journal of Comparative Economics, Regional Studies, Cambridge Journal of Economics, and Journal of Institutional Economics. Dr. Hartwell holds a PhD in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics, a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard, and a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the author of Two Roads Diverge: The Transition Experience of Poland and Ukraine (Cambridge University Press, 2016), as well asInstitutional Barriers in the Transition to Market: Examining Performance and Divergence in Transition Economies (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013).

Dmitry is a senior research fellow in the Israeli Studies Department of OSI RAS. He also holds a position of executive director of Russia-Israel Business Council. Dr. Maryasis is an author of more than 50 research papers including three books. His latest book was issued by OSI RAS in 2015 and is called “Innovation Economy Building Experience: The Case of Israel”.

He is also the editor-in-chief of the analytical media "Eurasian Studies" based in Munich, Germany. From 2017 to 2019 he was the founder and head of the Eurasian sector of the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" in Moscow, Russia and continues to be an expert with the sector. Currently Mr. Kofner attends advanced studies programs from various German institutions such as the German Bundesbank and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
