Vladimir Korovkin, Head of IEMS Innovations and Digital Research, spoke at Kazansummit-2015 on the prospects of Islamic finance in Russia. His presentation "The parallelism of the banking systems" investigates three apects of the introduction of Islamic banking in Russia: social-cultural, financial development, foreign trade integration.
His research highlights that the introduction of Islamic finance elements in the Russian business practices can be viewed as an important strategic direction for the development of the banking system aimed at increasing its inclusiveness and connection with the real sector alongside with integration into the global financial developments.
