On May 15, 2015, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and Unilever hosted the roundtable discussion “Embedding sustainability strategies in Russia” which took place at the Campus of Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. The roundtable discussion brought together more than 100 guests, including industry leaders, NGOs, authorities and academic community to discuss the real cases of global corporations implementing sustainable practices in Russia, define major institutional, infrastructural and information barriers hampering full-scale sustainability implementation, and identify approaches to address those challenges.
Representatives from the industry leading companies such as Unilever, International Paper, Novartis and Panasonic shared their best practices and unique perspective on implementing sustainability strategies in Russia, SKOLKOVO Sustainable Business Lab contributed with analyses of Russia’s positions in global sustainability rankings and invited experts provided their vision on major obstacles and crucial initiatives required to make Russian business environment more ‘sustainable friendly’.
