On 25 October, Natalia Zaytseva , the head of Sustainable Business Center SKOLKOVO participated in a round table discussion «The development of environmental policy in Russia: is it a factor of implantation of innovations in industry?», in St. Petersburg, organized by the St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA). The event attracted companies that have energy-efficiency programs or that participate in emission reduction projects.
Natalia delivered the presentation on the implementation of sustainable business models in Russia, including best practices and existing barriers. Roman Ishmukhametov of Baker & McKenzie, reviewed the Paris agreement and its reflection in Russian policy, as well as its risks and opportunities. Representatives of KPMG spoke on carbon disclosure and reporting, as well as on carbon management. Gazpromneft delivered the presentation of its development of a greenhouse gas emissions system and discussed its corporate energy-efficiency program.
